Featuring the Works of a World Renowned Photographer

A Scottish publisher entrusted Tegra with showcasing the work of a world renowned photographer in a coffee table book. The project brief specified use of ‘duo-tone’ printing to highlight the rich tonality of the photographic plates. Tegra’s dedicated team of professionals with ample expertise in prepress domain proactively recommended the use of ‘tri-tone’ printing which was accepted by the client. High resolution scanning (16- bit) was done to ensure that the tonality and the dynamic range of the photographs were retained. Each image was custom separated into tri-tone and retouching was carried out. The layout and design was done using QuarkXPress, for both the pages as well as the hardbound cover jacket. Tegra’s role as a deadline keeping and budget conscious mediating partner between the publisher and the printer was well appreciated.
